House Mossel Bay

The client was renovating this existing house and needed to move existing walls. The client was also looking for a walling material to improve the acoustics. Therefore, the client looked at 3 options. The first option was to look at a dry wall system, but according to the contractor, the dry wall system comprising of a 63mm cavity  bat insulation and 2 x 12mm dry wall boards on each side proved to be more expensive than the prices in Europe. The other option was to use conventional brick and mortar but it was going to take too long and the weight would have created additional costs.

The third option was to use Aertec AAC and it was found to be much cheaper than the drywall system and achieved the desired acoustics. The contractor built 60m² of AAC walling in two days.
