Agricol Warehouse - Fire Wall

Aertec AAC was specified as the material of choice for the fire wall that splits the newly built Agricol warehouse into two sections. Aertec AAC has a 4 hour (240 minutes) fire rating as per SANS 51996-1-2 and is more price competitive than of a 2hr fire rated dry walling system.

Aertec SA was involved with this project from design stage and offered an AAC design solution in line with the SANS 51996 series. The 7.5m high fire wall was subjected to internal wind loads due to penetrations in the sides of the warehouse. Aertec SA assisted the project engineers with the required wall thickness specification and the maximum permissible lengths based on the calculated wind loads and a height of 7.5m to the Apex.
